Retreats

Dear Sangha,

During this past Buddha Birthday retreat, Dae Poep Sa Nim made a wonderful announcement about the future development of our Sangha in Europe. Starting this year, the centers and abbots of our Sangha will organize three-day retreats throughout Europe, much in the style Dae Poep Sa Nim used to do. Dae Poep Sa Nim has perceived that it is the right moment to do that.

This is the most wonderful and great opportunity for our Sangha to get together and grow. As Dae Poep Sa Nim has explained to us, our Sangha is like a tree with strong roots that is beginning to flourish.

The first retreat is planned to take place in Germany on the first week of November, just before the Paris retreat. From next year, we plan to organize at least four retreats throughout the year. The dates and location of each retreats will be announced on our calendar.

Each of the retreats will be conducted under the supervision of Dae Poep Sa Nim who will give the theme of the retreat, practice assignment and send special energy and blessings to all of its participants. During the retreat, people will practice together and have a special practice from Dae Poep Sa Nim, listen to Dae Poep Sa Nim Dharma speeches, and see some of Dae Poep Sa Nim’s paintings as well as pictures of our monastery and the World Peace Kwan Se Um Bo Sal.
